According to the American Nurses Association, nurses represent the largest population of healthcare workers in the country. But even before the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a nursing shortage. The ANA’s article discusses reasons for this shortage, such as retirements outpacing new nurses in the field and inadequate workforce support.
