Did you know that there are over 100 nursing specialties? Nurses are able to transition from one specialty to another based on their education. Some practices only require an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN), while others require a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). Nursing specialties range from emergency care, to labor and delivery, to geriatrics, to school nursing.
